What’s the price and what’s included?
It costs 210€ and includes all the material and tools you will need. You will take home your own veneered and finished box.
How long does it take?
The workshop will be a total of 10 hours divided in two days. Saturday 9th and Sunday March 10th from 9:30 to 14:30.
But I don’t have any woodworking experience!
The workshop is designed for everybody, at any level of experience.
The interesting thing about veneering and marquetry is that it can be used by an amateur or beginner in their own home and with a few tools to make small objects but it can also complement the range of work of a professional.
What kind of veneer will we use?
We will have different types of wood like Ash and Walnut. And also we are lucky that Sebastián will bring different colored veneer from Tabu, a brand that he uses and is an ambassador for.
How will we build the box?
The box must be primarily made from DM with hardwood edge-bandings. We will have some pre-made pieces of the box to focus the majority of the class on the veneering and marquetry.
What type of finish will we use?
To finish the box we will use a special wax and oil from OSMO, another brand which Sebastian is an ambassador of.
Will you offer this couse again soon?
No. It will be the only date this year. Sebastián is a full time teacher in Stockholm and he doesn’t have a lot of free time.
